Police Identify Two Teens Killed In Early Morning Crash
EL PASO — Two people were killed and anotherwas seriously injured in a rollover crash on Friday morning.
The incident happened just before3 a.m. on Paisano Drive near Shelter Place.
Police said 18-year-old Vicente Munoz was driving a 2001 Ford Focus when he lost control, hitting awall androlling the vehicle.
Munoz and a passenger, 19-year-old Jorge Pineda, died on the scene. Another passenger, 17-year-old Ricardo Flores, was transported to Thomason Hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said that although the three were wearing seatbelts, alcohol and speed appears to have contributed to the deaths. The investigation is ongoing.
