Four Charged In Northeast Murder Of Teen

EL PASO — Police have arrested four young men in connection with the assault ona Northeast El Paso teen that led to his death over the weekend.

On January 6, 19-year-old Valentin Rodriguez died after beingknocked unconsciousby a group ofmen at a party. Police said Tuesday that Antoine Baker, Jory Jermaine Babers, both 18, and Sabourin James Templeton and Michael Romero, both 21,wereat the party onthe 11,000 block ofGolden Pond whereRodriguez was assaulted.

Friends took him to his apartment where they spent the night with him. When Rodriguez wouldn’t wake up the following morning, the friends called emergency personnel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives allege that all four of the men were involved with Rodriguez’ death and they were arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity-murder. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be available in our later newscasts.
