N.M.’S Lieutenant Governor Endorses Clinton

SANTA FE, N.M.(AP) – Lt. Gov. Diane Denish on Monday endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton in the presidential race, saying Clinton will make the best president and is best prepared to win in November.

Denish says the country has to have a leader who’s ready to start doing things from the first day and to make change happen.

She praises Clinton’s record of fighting for families, and says Clinton will help states with affordable health care. Denish says Clinton also will negotiate to end the war in Iraq quickly and responsibly.

Denish is the first female lieutenant governor in New Mexico history. She was Richardson’s running mate in 2002 and when they won re-election in 2006.
