Northeast El Paso Fire Guts Home

EL PASO, TX. -El Paso Fire investigators are still looking into the cause of a fireat a homein the Northeast.

Thirteen fire crews responded to the scene around 6:00 Friday night, and saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home in the 3700 block of Titanic.

Two adults and three children were in the home at the time of the fire, but were all able to get out safely. Fire officials reported three firefighters sustained minor injuries battling the blaze. The three were treated by paramedics on the scene.

Fire officials say although crews were able to get the blaze under control rather quickly, it still did some serious damage. The house was still standing, but the inside was gutted by the flames and smoke. Estimated damage to the home is more than $105,000.

Investigators say the family cannot stay in the home, and the Red Cross was on hand to provide assistance to them.
