Military Now Says Jets On Training Mission During Mysterious Lights

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) – No UFO’s after all in Texas. Military officials now say they did have about ten jets on night training flights when dozens of people in Erath County reported seeing weird lights.

The January 8th sightings drew international attention as possible UFO activity in the Stephenville area.

But Wednesday officials confirm planes from the 301st Fighter Wing at the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth were on night flights that evening.

People including a a pilot, county constable and business owners all insisted they saw a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast.

Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it. Stephenville is about 100 miles southwest of Dallas.
