Toddler Falls From 2-Story Window

EL PASO — A two-year-old boywas rushed to the hospital after he fell out of a two-story window. It happened at about1:30 p.m.at the Patriot Apartments on the 4600 block of Fairbanks in Northeast El Paso.

Investigators blocked off the area as they checked the scene.

Officers said they were called out to the apartments to check on the safety of the toddler. When they arrived, they found the boy’s body on arock just under an open window on the second floor.

The toddler lived at the apartment with his father but was being watched by a caretaker when he fell, investigators said.

Investigators said the boy is in critical but stable condition at William Beaumoint Army Medical Center, where he is being treated for a possible skull fracture.

Because a toddler was involved in the incident, the police department’s Crimes Against Children Division is also investigating the case.
