Former President Clinton Campaigns For Wife In El Paso

EL PASO — Former President Bill Clinton was in town Saturday visiting with early voters around the Sun City to reinforce support for his wife’s, Sen. Hillary Clinton, presidential bid.
Clinton began his El Paso visit in the Northeast, speaking to a crowd of hundreds at the Rushfair Shopping Center. Supporters for Mrs. Clinton, who was in El Paso just last week, held up signs at Saturday’s event.
President Clinton discussed his wife’s agenda if elected president, highlighting reforms for education, healthcare and energy. He also emphasized how important it is for voters to make their voices heard and to do it early.
“I’m going to vote now and vote again later. I think it’s important,” said one voter.
After his final stopat El Paso’s Pavo Real Park in the Lower Valley, President Clinton will be flying on to Dallas and then Ohio.
