Morning Rollover Sends Man To The Hospital

EL PASO, Tx. – Police say speed is a factor in a rollover crash Saturday morning that sent one man to the hospital.

The crash happened just before 5:00 am at I-10 West and Executive Center.

Police tell ABC-7 the man was driving too fast, when he hit a guardrail. They say his vehicle flipped over, and he was trapped underneath.

Emergency crews on the scene say they had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the man, before taking him to the hospital. They say the man has serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.

It took crews about 3 hours to clear the scene, and allow traffic to flow freely again.

There is no word yet on the man’s identity, or whether he faces any charges.
