Recall Issued On Toys Sold At Military Bases Across The Country

DALLAS, Texas – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled several toys sold on military bases across the country Wednesday. CPSO, in cooperation with the Army and Air Force Exchange recalled Soldier Bear Learning Toys manufactured by First Learning Company and Toy World because high levels of lead were found in the product’s surface paint.

About 11,400 units are effected. The descriptions, styles and UPC numbers are listed below.

1. Wooden Pull Along Learning Blocks Wagon (Alphabet Blocks in a wooden wagon) 6320 8 34162 00215 8

2. Time Teacher (Magnetic Shapes & Clock in Pull Cart)- Wooden Clock 6231 8 34162 00264 6

3. Wooden Riding Horse 6349 8 34162 00369 8

4. Vehicle Playset (Blue Military Vehicle with Action Figures) 1007 4 895130 81007 2

The items were sold at AAFES stores worldwide from August 2006 through October 2007 for between $5 and $20.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and return the recalled toys to the nearest PX/BX AAFES stores for a full refund at the original price.
