Local Teen Heading To The Big Apple For Leadership Conference
EL PASO, Texas – Outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential are qualities that earned an local high school student the privilege to attend a People to People Leadership Conference in New York City.
Eddie Acuna is a sophomore at Coronado High School. He is one of only 10 Sun City students nominated to attend the leadership summit at Columbia University. Eddie leaves Saturday for the ten day summit, where he’ll learn skills that will help him succeed in college and beyond.
Eddie told ABC-7 he’s excited about realizing a life long dream.
For his hard work, Eddie is honored as this month’s Estela’s Escuelas honor roll winner. That means he got some spending money courtesy of ABC-7 and Prices Creameries.
