New Center For Gay Community To Open Thursday

EL PASO, Texas — A new center will open Thursday night to serve the gay community in El Paso. The new Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (GLBTQ) Center is set to open at 7:30 p.m.at 311 E. Mills St. in Downtown El Paso.

According to our partners at Newspaper Tree, two assaults due to sexual orientation took place Downtown Monday, including an assault in the lobby of the center, underscoring the need for the center in the first place.
