EPIA Flights To Be Affected By Ike
EL PASO, Tx – Air travel in and out of the Sun City will be effected by Hurricane Ike’s expected landfall near Houston.
In a telephone interview, a spokeswoman for the Houston Airport System tells our newspartners at KHOU-TV in Houston that Southwest Airlines will cancel all flights in and out of Hobby Airport at 9am Friday.
She also said all commercial airlines will cancel will cancel flights into and out of Bush Intercontinental Airport as of 2pm Friday.
Liz Bellegarde, a spokeswoman for the El Paso International Airport, said all passengers flying out through the weekend should check with their airline for cancellations. If your flight is cancelled, your airline may book you on another flight.
El Paso International will also house several government planes getting out of harms way on the Texas Coast as well as many commercial jetliners.
