70 Students Transferring From EPCC To UTEP Awarded Scholarships

EL PASO — Seventy UTEP students will each be awarded a $5,000 scholarship to continue their studies at UTEP, UTEP officials said.

The students will receive the El Paso Community College Transfer Scholarship from the Wolslager Foundation. The scholarship will help ease their transition from EPCC to UTEP.

Of the 70 students, 25 are new scholarship recipients. The remaining 45 students will have their scholarships renewed, UTEP officials said.

The scholarships are available to EPCC students with a minimum 2.75 GPA and who have 45 total transferable hours.
