Police Charge Man For Improper Contact With A Child

Las Cruces police arrested and charged a man for sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl.

Authorities arrested 36-year-old Albert Fatla Wednesday and charged him with one count of criminal sexual contact of a child.

Fatla was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center and his bond was set at $10,000.

According to detectives, Fatla improperly touched the girl four months ago, and information from the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department prompted police to begin investigating the incident.
