Transition Of Oregon St. Corridor To Two-Way To Begin Dec. 13
EL PASO, Texas — The work to transition Oregon from a one-way street to a two-way street between Arizona and Main will begin on Dec. 13, city officials said. The project will include temporary lane closures. Complete street closures are not expected.
The conversion of Oregon to a two-way street will become effective on Dec. 14.
Mobile message boards announcing the change will be placed in the area starting Dec. 10 and will remain there until Dec. 17.
The transition was recently approved by City Council. The project is intended to provide the Oregon corridor with a more efficient traffic flow, particularly near the Rio Grande campus of El Paso Community College, officials said.
