Crash In Central El Paso Seriously Injures Motorcyclist

A motorcycle crash in Central El Paso left a man seriously injured early Sunday morning.

Police said a car hit the motorcycle around two o’clock at Piedras and Paisano. The impact threw the rider off of the motorcycle.

Police added that someone ran a red light, but they don’t know if it was the motorcyclist or the driver of the car.

Our camera crew, upon arriving at the scene, found a car with its front end destroyed. Meanwhile, a motorcycle was lying in the roadway and had sustained damage.

Authorities have not released the name of the motorcyclist, who was transported to William Beaumont Army Medical Center, but suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The motorcyclist is expected to live despite suffering serious injuries.
