‘Doppler’ Dave Speelman: More Snow Wanted At Ski Apache

by ABC-7 Meteorologist Dave Speelman

This is not the greatest winter at Ski Apache. The mountain picked up 10″ of snow Tuesday which brings the total snow depth up to 47″ so far this season. Ski Apache normally receives 180″ of snow for the year. Now, we still have the rest of February and March before the resort typically shuts down so there is still some time to play catch up. If we don’t get much more snow over the next month or two this could be one of the worst seasons in 35 years.
