Pebble Hills Students Will Return To Old Campus Next School Year

EL PASO, Texas — Pebble Hills Elementary students will finish the school year at the Pebble Hills North campus at the former Parkland Elementary School, Ysleta ISD officials said.

Officials said the mold has been completely removed from the old campus and the campus is clean. In addition, improvements have been made to the campus, such as new refrigerated air system for the entire school, a new fire alarm and sprinkler system and a newly designed library.

However, Ysleta ISD Superintendent Michael Zolkoski said officials did not want to interfere with TAKS testing that runs through April, and moving students so late in the year would not be sensible. Faculty and students will return to the campus in the 2009-10 school year.
