SISD To Hold Forums With Superintendent Finalists

Officials from the Socorro Independent School District have chosen two finalists for superintendent.

The two finalists are Dr. Xavier de la Torre, currently an associate superintendent in Elk Grove, California, and Dr. Anthony Monreal, currently a deputy superintendent for the California Department of Education.

Taxpayers will be allowed to speak with de la Torre at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the SISD Service Center board room on 12440 Rojas.

A form with Monreal will be heldat the same location at 6 p.m. Thursday.
