Police Arrest Driver For DWI And Cocaine Possession

El Paso Police arrested a man Friday night for drunk driving and cocaine possession.

Shortly after 11pm, a police unit spotted a 2004 maroon Nissan Titan pickup truck stopped at a green light in the middle of three eastbound lanes on Montana and Wedgewood, impeding traffic.

Police discovered the driver of the truck, 49-year-old Jose Soto, was intoxicated and arrested him for DWI. When they investigated further, police discovered Soto had a bag of cocaine with him.

Authorities booked Soto into the El Paso County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated as well as possession of a controlled substance.
