Information On Helping Jazmin Bueno And Her Family
By ABC-7’s Andrew Chung
Fifteen-year-old Jazmin Bueno deals with the everyday stresses any San Elizario High School freshman would have.
However, a house fire was not one she had expected.
She was waiting for the school bus on the morning of April 15, when she saw flames and smoke in the distance.
Jazmin soon learned the flames were coming from her home.
The fire destroyed the house and nearly everything she and her family owned.
Two weeks ago, she had celebrated her quinceanera, and the gifts she received were all but wiped out.
Jazmin and her family are trying to pick up the pieces and move on with their lives, but it’s proving to be very difficult.
Her family had no fire insurance and is staying in a small trailer in the home’s front yard.
One of Jazmin’s big concerns is keeping her parents’ spirits up following the fire, and she also wonders if their home will ever be rebuilt.
Friends and neighbors have pitched in with supplies and assistance, but even those can only last for so long.
Her family has no fire insurance and they desperately need assistance in rebuilding their home from the ground up.
In addition, they are in need of clothing and toiletries. If you can help in any way, please call (915) 328-5392 or (915) 256-5714.
