Truck Crashes Into Eastside El Paso Home Early Saturday Morning

It was a frightening moment on El Paso’s eastside after a truck crashed into a home early Saturday morning.

According to police, a drunk driver was heading west on Montwood near Hugh Royer Place when she lost control of her pickup, which caused her to cross the median and swerve through the eastbound lane before landing in the home.

When our camera crew arrived at the crash scene, the truck’s tail lights were resting against the home’s window bars.

In addition, the truck had hit another car before crashing into the home.

Paramedics transported the female driver of that car to a hospital; she sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was the only person hurt.

Police arrested the driver of the pickup truck for drunk driving but did not release the names of anyone involved.

As of early Saturday morning there was no damage estimate for the home. Stay tuned to ABC-7 for any new information on this story.
