Local GM Dealer Not Worried About Company’s Nationwide Cuts
EL PASO, Texas — Despite nationwide dealership slashes by General Motors, one area GM dealership says they are doing fine. Shamaley Pontiac, GMC and Buick on El Paso’s Westside said they don’t expect to get cut by the GM Corporation.
They claim they are a very productive dealership and they aren’t worried about being dropped.
“In our region, and in the country, we’re a top-performing dealer for Pontiac, Buick, GMC. So we’re not at all concerned with it,” said general manager David Logsten about the future of his dealership.
Logsten said a loyal customer base is what has kept them afloat during these rough economic times.
No other GM dealer that ABC-7 contacted confirmed they are being cut, though thatcould change in the future.
