Veronique Masterson

Veronique has been with the ABC-7 family since 2004 when she started her journalism career as an intern and was hired at KVIA shortly after the end of her internship.

In 2008, she became a full-time reporter at KVIA. In 2009, Veronique began anchoringABC-7’s weekend primetime shows.

Veronique graduated from Coronado High Schooland obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso with a dual major in Communications and French.

She’s been in El Paso for about 13 years now and says it’s an honor to be able to work as a reporter in what she calls her hometown. Whatshe loves most about her career is having the ability to inform and help people. She loves being out in the community and telling people’s stories.

Veronique was born in Germany where she lived for a number of years. She’s also lived in France. As a result of the military life, Veronique says she found her love of people, languages and learning about different cultures. Her first language was German. She also speaks French and Spanish fluently.

When she’s not at work, Veronique loves cooking, reading and spending time with friends, family and her dog Ava.
