Former ABC-7 Reporter KC Counts Donates Hair For Good Cause

LAS CRUCES — KC Counts, a former ABC-7 reporter, has joined thousands of women in the City of the Crosses for a good cause.

Counts, who can now be heard on 101 Gold in Las Cruces, donated her “pony tail” during Saturday’s “Clip for the Cure,” which was held at the Regis Salon at the Mesilla Valley Mall.

Ladies of all ages donated their locks, some ranging fromeight to 20 inches long to make real hair wigs. The hair donations will go to various charities that make wigs for children or adults who’ve lost their hair due to cancer or other medical reasons.

KC says she been growing out her hair for aboutfive years and cutting for a good cause was an easy decision.”Saying goodbye to this hair that’s been with me for a few years, but that’s alright,” she said “It’s a good feeling. I hope that somebody gets to enjoy it.”

If you’d like to donate your locks you can do itright from home. Just get a cut and send it to the charity of your choice.
