El Paso Native To Have His Film Shown At Sundance Film Festival
El Paso, Texas – El Paso native Ryan Piers Williams will debut his film, “The Dry Land,” at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.
It has been entered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the festival.
The movie follows an Iraq veteran, James, as he tries to adjust to life in a small Texas town after returning from war.
“The Dry Land” is Williams’ first feature film as director, but he has worked on several films in various capacities, including “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen.”
Portions of “The Dry Land” were filmed in El Paso last year.
Ryan O’Nan stars as James.Other actors in the film areAmerica Ferrera, Melissa Leo, Jason Ritter, and Wilmer Valderrama.
