El Paso, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man on drug charges after he led them on a chase.

Luis Victor Leos, 32, of the 1400 block of Tula Court in San Elizario, was arrested for evading arrest with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). He remains at the El Paso County Detention Facility.

At about 9 p.m. Thursday, a sheriff’s deputy patrolling the 12100 block of Socorro Road saw a Chevrolet Lumina exit an apartment complex at a high rate of speed. The deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle but the driver refused to stop.
