NUMBER ONE CAMPAIGN FOCUS: Instill responsible and ethical decisions. I am not a politician, but yet I am a “person” and with that in mind I will give you less “politics”. When I am elected, I will not change anything without you in mind; “Together”, the staff of the District Clerk Office, your suggestions, and I will bring a “Fresh Start” to the District Clerk Office.

WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM YOUR OPPONENT? Besides being the youngest candidate, I am the only candidate that has actually worked in the District Clerk office except for the incumbent. I am the only candidate earning an MBA degree. While my opponents have several years of administrative work experience, they’ve had over 100 combined years to try and do something productive and yet nothing has been done. Only now do they all seek an office, they have no experience in.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE THAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THE POSITION YOU SEEK:

-Education.

-Experience working for the District Clerk office from May 2005 – Nov 2007.

-Working since I was about 15; Texas Gas Co, Reddy Ice, Sun Apparel…to name a few.

DESCRIBE A MOMENT THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE:

Even though I am very young, I’ve faced many trials and tribulations which each had a major impact on my life. The biggest impact though occurred in 2004, when my mother Anna Rose Castillo (whom was my best friend), passed away – she was only 49. While she was very ill for many years, you can never be prepared to lose a loved one. When she passed, I felt as if my world came crashing down on me. My mom, a single mother, had always did her best to raise my family and I….and I always tried to make her proud….and when she passed, I knew I would not give up and I would always strive for excellence and so til this day I carry the strength, courage, energy and love she had with me everywhere I go and I know when I become District Clerk, I’ll strive to provide the same dedication.
