WHAT SETS ME APART
I have taken a once dormant Justice court whose doors were closed to many filers and brought back fair andequitable justice to this court.Because of my commitment and pledge to voters four years ago, I am proud to say that forthe first time in over twenty years the JP 5 court is adjudicatingfailure to attend school cases (truancy’s). I am also determined to continue processing and executing warrants as was neglected by my predecessor. I will continue to serve my community beyond the Justice court bench and promote youth and citizen outreach of the courts duties and services as I have done since taking office. My pledge to work hard for the tax payers of El Paso countystill standsand I will continue to work full time for the peoples court.

A MOMENT THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE
In 2006, coming to the stark realization as a teacher at YHS that nothing in the way of juvenile matters was being heard in this court. Yet seeing the yearly increase in truancy and ultimately drop out rates in area high schools. Wondering what would become of our community and the next generation of young people. Envisioning theimpact the JP court could have onarea youth and their families and going for it. “It” being therun for public office andbeing given the humbling honor to make a difference in my community. The 2006 primary run-off election was truly a memorable moment for me- a moment which acts as a constant reminder of my commitment my community to serve the JP 5 court with integrity and the highest standardof justice.
