Karla Cerino’s Family Asking Public For Help
The family of a young mother killed in a fiery crash on Wednesday is asking the public for help.
Before dying in the tragic SUV crash, 24-year-old Karla Cerino used her last breath to hand her 8-year-old daughter Priscilla and 2-year-old son Edgar to strangers who stopped to help.
As of Saturday morning, Priscilla was in Lubbock, recovering from severe burns to her face. Her family said she will need a skin transplant because her face burned off. Edgar was treated for minor burns at University Medical Center in El Paso.
Earlier this week, the family expressed their gratitude to those who stopped to help.
“Y’all are like angels. You are my little niece and nephew’s angels because you…saved…their lives,” said Arlet Cerino, Karla’s sister, addressing the Good Samaritans.
The family has set up an account at Wells Fargo for donations to help the two children. The account number is 298-683-2786.
