Central El Paso Bar Owner Gets Tiger Woods’ Attention At Augusta National
Tiger Woods is making his return to golf this week and at the same time, he’s projecting a new persona during his practice rounds at Augusta National in Georgia.
Simple gestures such as a tip of the cap, a wave of the hand or a thank you toward someone wishing him well have gone a long way toward rebuilding his base of support.
There will soon be a photo of a smiling Woods prominently hanging in the El Paso tavern, the Pershing Inn, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Pershing Inn owner Paul Powers snapped the photo as Woods approached a shot near the gallery ropes on the second fairway.
Powers then wished Woods a good day and a better tomorrow, prompting the No. 1 golfer in the world to shoot an appreciative glance over his shoulder.
The Masters begins Thursday.
