Investigation Continues In Triple Homicide Near Mesilla, NM Home
Three people found shot and killed ? four days later, still no word on who may be to blame.
Investigators found the bodies of two men and one woman Thursday morning at the Mesilla Hills Drive home. The home is near Mesilla, New Mexico.
It appears the two men found murdered had a business relationship.
Shot to death, deputies found the elderly couple Gilles and Helga Delisles, along with Peter Weith, inside the Delisle?s Mesilla Hills home Thursday.
Documents from 2008 state, Gilles Delisle represented Weith in a bankruptcy case involving Las Cruces resident Carol Ferri.
According to case records, Carol?s son, Eugene “Gino” Ferri, controlled her finances, and owed as much as $1.3 Million to Weith for three investment properties.
Eugene is the only known person of interest at this time?but Dona Ana County Investigators have made it clear, Eugene is not a suspect.
Days before investigators found the Delisles and Weith murdered? a judge agreed to change Ferri?s bankruptcy claim from Chapter 11 Reorganization to Chapter 7 Liquidation ? according to documents, a request Delisle made on behalf of Weith.
Investigators say, Eugene Ferri is one of many people interviewed in the past few days, but again, there are no suspects we know of at this time.
“He did give a voluntary statement to us and he was questioned and then left the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office,? Sgt. Joe Reynaud, Dona Ana County Sheriff?s Office Investigator said. ?The curl dispute revolved around money which was transacted in 2001 by the Delisles to Mr. Ferri, and the civil action was brought fourth to recover monetary value for that money.”
It is not clear if this bankruptcy case is in any way connected with the murders ? it just helps explain the relationship between Gilles Delisle and Peter Weith.
Investigators found a missing white 2007 Nissan Pathfinder which belonged to the Delisles. It had been missing since the day of the murders.
