May The 4th Be With You On Star Wars Day; Win Tickets To Star Wars Concert
Star Wars fans are taking the time on this unofficial holiday today to celebrate the classic movie franchise.
“May the 4th be with you,” is a phrase many of the fans are using to acknowledge the day.
German news TV channel N24 mistranslated George Lucas in an 2005 interview, interpreting his famous line, “May the Force be with you,” as “Am 4. Mai sind wir bei Ihnen” (We are with you on May 4), according to a story on abcnews.com. Thus a holiday was born.
And a popular one, too. Star Wars Day is a top-trending topic on Twitter and fans are searching the web for quotes from the movies.
The first person who sends KVIA a picture of themself in a Star Wars costume will win two tickets to the Star Wars Concert later this month at the Don Haskins Center. Send submissions to abc7desk@yahoo.com.
