Traffic Accident On Gateway East At Eastlake Causing Delays

A two-vehicle accident on Gateway East between the Horizon and Eastlake exits is causing a traffic delay.

The accident involved a GMC Chevy and an 18-wheeler.

Life Ambulance is transporting the driver of the truck to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Gateway East will remain closed for one to two hours. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes.

Traffic also is backing up on I-10 East in the area.
