Las Cruces Police Arrest 2 In Homicide In McKinley County

Las Cruces Police arrested a man and woman on Sunday who were wanted in connection with a 2009 homicide in McKinley County in west-central New Mexico.

Joshua “Casey” Yazzie, 25, and Danielle Yazzie, 22, were on a warrant out of McKinley County. The two were booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center without bond and are expected to be transferred to McKinley County.

The McKinley County Sheriff’s Department is handling the homicide investigation.

Police received information that Joshua Yazzie and Danielle Yazzie may be in the Las Cruces area. Las Cruces Police officers located the pair shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday at an address on Spruce Avenue near Santa Fe Street.
