Wanted Odessa Man Triggers Pursuit In Hudspeth, El Paso Counties

It was a scary moment along the freeway this weekend after a man led Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies on a chase.

The chase began before 5 p.m. Saturday in Fort Hancock and came to an end near a shopping center in far east El Paso.

According to DPS officials, Jeremy Brick Tinner of Odessa was stopped with his passenger in Fort Hancock. His passenger got out of the car during the stop, but Tinner, who turned out to be a wanted man in Odessa, took off behind the wheel, triggering the pursuit.

The chase ended when his tires blew near the shopping center. Authorities charged Tinner with evading arrest.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the chase.
