El Paso Police Department Teams With The El Paso County Sheriffs Office To Hold Summer Youth Academies
The El Paso Police Department is proud to announce a partnership with the El Paso County Sheriffs Office to hold this summers Youth Police Academies. The classes will be held at the Sheriffs Training Academy and there will be two separate sessions. The sessions will run Monday through Friday with a graduation on Friday. Topics will include police procedures, introduction to the penal code, police operations with demonstrations from various specialized units from both agencies as well as other law enforcement topics. Instructors will be provided by both agencies. This is a great opportunity for teens to get an inside look in to the two largest policing agencies in our region. Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 18 and must not have graduated high school prior to attending the academy.
Session 1: July 12th THROUGH July 16, 2010 @ 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Session 2: July 19th THROUGH July 23, 2010 @ 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Location: Sheriff?s Office Region VIII Training Academy – 12501 Montana
Cost: FREE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
Class Size: 30 Participants
Applicants will be required to complete an application packet. Application packets will be available at all Police Department Regional Commands & at the following Sheriff?s Office sites:
