Update: Deputy Shooting
Autopsy results show a 17 year old teenager shot and killed by a Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Deputy was drunk at the time.
Toxicology results show Nick Dominguez also had THC in his system, a major component of marijuana.
State police say he was shot after he stole two cases of beer from a store in Mesquite. He allegedly tried to take a deputy’s gun and then a patrol car.
The deputy says he tried to use a tazer on Dominguez, but fired his gun when the teen tried to run him over.
