XHIJ-TV: Two Americans Killed Outside Bar In Juarez
Two U.S. citizens from El Paso were shot and killed in Juarez as they left a well-known bar in central Juarez early Saturday morning, according to ABC-7’s news partner XHIJ channel 44.
Chihuahua state police said 23-year-old Joey Mario Herrera and 23-year-old Jaime Duran had gone to the Habana bar with several friends and were leaving when four armed men confronted them.
The gunmen opened fire as soon as the group walked out of the bar, killing Herrera and Duran. In addition, two of the victims’ friends, Luis de Santiago and Tamara Hazel Dominguez, were killed.
De Santiago, who was not a U.S. citizen, had recently moved to El Paso to escape the violence in Juarez.
