UTEP To Hold Paydirt Pete Tryouts This Week
The UTEP Athletics Dept. is looking for a few loud and proud Miner fans to join the Paydirt Pete Mascot Team for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Applications are available online for the tryouts to be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 23 n Friday, July 23, in the Foster-Stevens Basketball Complex near the Don Haskins Center.
To be eligible for the 2010-11 Paydirt Pete Mascot Team, participants must be current UTEP students in good standing, between 5-foot-7 and 6-feet tall, have an outgoing personality and love to perform in front of large crowds. ?
As the official ambassador of UTEP Athletics, Paydirt Pete has a presence at all home Miner Athletics events. Paydirt Pete also travels with the Miners to select away events, such as conference championships, NCAA tournaments, as well as national mascot camps and competitions.
