Fire Dept. On Scene Of Hazmat Incident In Central El Paso

The El Paso Fire Dept. is trying to find the source of a strong smell in Central El Paso. The Fire Dept.’s hazmat unit is on scene.

Three Sun Metro buses were requested at about 11:25 a.m. to evacuate an auto store, a daycare, and a strip mall.

Fire Dept. officials are talking with El Paso Water Utilities to determine if the smell is coming from the sewer in the area of Trowbridge and 5900 Gateway West.
