Manhunt Monday 01/25/10: Julian Belmontes

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for trying to forcibly take his girlfriend from her mothers residence against her will then dragging the Victim?s sister with his vehicle as she was trying to stop the suspect. He has been identified as JULIAN BELMONTES(19) of Montana Vista – El Paso County, TX.

This past Tuesday 01-19-10 at 2:00 AM, a young couple was arguing at a residence in the 8700 block of Kingsway Dr. in Westway, TX. During the argument the male subject ? JULIAN BELMONTES became enraged and tried to force his 17 year-old girlfriend (Victim #1- who is 5 months pregnant) into his car by grabbing her by the arms & pushing her into his car causing her pain & discomfort to several parts of her body to include her stomach area. The victim frantically yelled for help at which time her younger 16 year-old sister (Victim #2) exited the home & tried to help her sister get away from BELMONTES. The sister (16 year-old) observed BELMONTES attempt to drive off, so she ran & held on to the steering wheel in order to prevent BELMONTES from taking her sister. BELMONTES continued driving as the 16 year-old held on to the steering wheel dragging her for about 400 feet (about 5 house lengths) swerving the vehicle side-to-side in attempt to remove her from holding on. The 16 year-old could no longer hold on, released her hands, and fell to the ground causing her pain and discomfort. Shortly after, BELMONTES stopped the vehicle and released his 17 year-old girlfriend & sped off. Deputies searched the area but BELMONTES managed to elude capture.
