Dona Ana Sheriff’s Office Warn Of Scam

A company calling itself GHS Solutions is allegedly mailing letters to Doa Ana County residents offering to settle unsecured debt. The letters state that Doa Ana County records indicate that the recipient meets “the minimum requirements and [is] located in a qualifying area.”

Doa Ana County does not maintain records on consumer debt, and has provided no documentation to GHS Solutions regarding any individual or property owner, according to Dona Ana County Sheriff’s officials.

Dona Ana County officials said that from time to time, companies create and disseminate official-looking documents that appear to have the endorsement or cooperation of Doa Ana County . This has occurred in the past with companies seeking to sell documents that are readily available in the Doa Ana County Clerk’s Office for significantly less than the price quoted in the letters.
