Sun Metro Offering Rides To Sun Bowl For UTEP-NMSU Game

UTEP Miner football fans can avoid battling traffic or hunting for a parking space by riding Sun Metro’s SMART 101 to the Sun Bowl for this Saturday’s rivalry game against New Mexico State University.

The game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Fans can park at the Union Plaza Transit Terminal (UPTT), 400 W. San Antonio , for $5 and buy a roundtrip bus pass for $2.50 per person. Children 5 and under ride free, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Riders are reminded to have exact change for the Smart 101 farebox. While the farebox can issue change cards, drivers do not have access to currency.

Sun Metro will begin trips from the transit terminal to UTEP two hours before kickoff. Riders will be dropped off near the intersection of Robinson Avenue and Randolph Drive , adjacent to Memorial Gym. Return trips will begin at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Before boarding the bus, riders are reminded of the following tips and policies: Make sure you have your game tickets BEFORE you get on board.

Food or beverages are NOT permitted on the bus.

Boarding for return trips will be at the same drop-off location near Memorial Gym.
