Overnight Furnace Explosion Kills 1 Person In Anthony, Texas
One person was killed Monday morning after a furnace explosion at the Arcelor Mittal Plant, formerly known as Border Steel Co. in Anthony, Texas.
Apolonio Arras, 57, of Anthony, Texas was a worker at the plant and died from injuries he suffered in the explosion.
According to employees, they heard a loud explosion and then saw heavy smoke.
This case has been referred to Crimes Against Persons Detectives who are working with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) and are continuing with the investigation.
