Man Arrested for 3rd DWI, Passenger Found with Cocaine
El Paso, TX – Police in the Lower Valley arrested two men after a traffic stop early Thursday morning. One for DWI, his third. The other for having cocaine.
42-year-old Asam Lachica was pulled over on Hacienda St. a little before one, after officers got a call regarding an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Police say further investigation revealed that he was drunk. Lachica has been convited of drunken driving twice before. Once in 1991, and again in 2001.
Police also say they found .30 grams of cocaine on his passenger, 35-year-old Fernando Ochoa. They took him in on a count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
