Dona Ana County Teen Allegedly Tries To Poison Dad’s Pregnant Girlfriend

A 15-year-old Dona Ana County girl has been turned over to the Juvenile Probation Office after she allegedly tried to poison the her father’s pregnant girlfriend.

At about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the north valley of Dona Ana County after receiving a call from a 51-year-old man who reported his daughter tried to poison his 34-year-old girlfriend.

The girlfriend had been served pasta but did not eat it because she noticed some discoloration.

Questioned by her father about the discoloration, the daughter first denied, but later admitted she had crushed “two to three” Ibuprofen tablets and placed the crushed powder in the portion of the serving tray that she knew the woman would serve herself from, knowing the side effects that Ibuprofen could cause.

The daughter later admitted to her father she was upset about the fact that she overheard her father’s girlfriend talking on the telephone, mentioning she was pregnant with her father’s child.

After consulting with the District Attorney, the case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Probation Office.
