Authorities Investigate Upper Valley Drive-By Shootings
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Anthony Police Department are investigating two drive-by shootings that happened in the Upper Valley on Thursday night.
At about 9:25 p.m. Thursday, Anthony Police units and El Paso Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Poplar and Celeste in Anthony, Texas in reference a drive-by-shooting. Authorities arrived and discovered that a home on Jennifer Street in Anthony, Texas was struck with one round and a parked vehicle was stuck with another bullet.
About 15 minutes later, deputies were called to the La Florida street in Canutillo in reference to another drive-by shooting. Deputies arrived and met with area residents and found three to four bullets had struck a home on La Florida street.
Investigators have deemed both shootings to be related but it remains unclear of an individual was targeted or what motive the shooter(s) had. No person(s) were injured as a result of the two shootings. These shootings remain under investigation by Sheriff’s Officials / Anthony PD.
