Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Collision

A 47-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a traffic collision in East El Paso.

El Paso Police said Bruce Engels, of the 3600 block of Truman, was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle at about 2:49 p.m. South on Global Reach when a FedEx truck driven by Ricardo Adame of Horizon City, traveling East on George Perry, collided with the motorcyclist in the intersection.

Police are still trying to determine who failed to yield the right of way. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors, according to police officials.

This is the 58th traffic related death this year as compared to 57 at this time in 2009.
