Borderland Fans Excited Over Sun Bowl Showdown
Fans all over the borderland are already taking sides in what’s being called the match up of the year for Sun City football.
The Sun Bowl’s ticket manager tells us people are already buying in bundles…sometimes dozens of tickets at a time.
“It’s gonna be something else. We’ve been wanting Notre Dame down here for years, so we get our chance now,” said one fan at a local sports bar. “Go Miami…all the way!” said another.
This year’s bowl game is a big deal for non-football fans, too, though. Both teams have huge followings around the country and a history of rivalry. Fans will no doubt be coming in from out of town in support of their side– that could mean big bucks for our local hotels, restaurants and bars.
